Wendy Blount . Blount Design I love wood in bathrooms. With kids it may be more of an issue (and we bathe the dogs outside), but I feel like with adults and a bath mat, we don't get a lot of water on the floors. They can take a good bit before warping.

Statements Tile Porcelain is also an excellent option as it will not absorb any water. Take a look at a few different lines...

what about a shower curtain instead? less spillage and easy to replace, no squeegie-ing everytime you got out of the shower to prevent the buildup. plus the awesome shelve adds lots counter aroudn the bowl sink?
