Shari, I'm so sorry this took so long. My emal address was changed & I just figured out how to get messages sent to old address. Hope you're still in the mood. I have some lovely Garden pix. If you'd like, go to Elizabeth Darden (Gardens, Garden Deux, Gardens Troix, Jardins) on Pinterest. Wish you happiness & creativity, Elizabeth :)

Thanks for the info, Elizabeth! I just followed some of your boards:) I can be found at http://pinterest.com/spkcreative/ . What is the round purple flower? It seems similar to green dianthus, but I'm better with images than names;)

Ornamental OnionsAllium Simultaneously playful and architectural, these oval, spherical, or globular flower shapes are a versatile addition to any garden. Plus, they're deer resistant and drought tolerant, and they come in great colors. Sizes vary greatly by variety, and bloom times range from spring to summer to fall. There are many notable favorite ornamental onions, including 'Globemaster' (pictured here) with its huge purple spheres on 3- to 4-foot stems. Mix it with other early summer plantings in shades of pink and purple, such as roses, peonies, iris, dianthus and cranesbill geranium. Another favorite is the yellow allium (allium flavum), a midsummer bloomer that grows up to 2 feet high and offers clusters of yellow, pink or white florets. USDA zones: 5 to 10 (find your zone)Sun requirement: Full to partial shade Height: 1 to 4 feetBloom time: Spring, summer or fallPlanting tips: Plant a little deeper than other bulbs, about three times the dimension of the bulb.

“Next year’s garden may seem far away, but you can get it off to a great start by planting spectacular bulbs this fall.” — LuAnn BrandsenFall is upon us, but gardening time is definitely not over. ALLIUM - PLANT IN FALL.... Overall, bulbs make few demands other than well-drained soil. Simply dig a hole in an appropriate location, plant according to package directions, add a light sprinkling of 10-10-10 fertilizer, water, and forget about it. The bulbs will take it from there and delight you with their colorful surprise. European gardeners have been inviting the sphere into their traditional garden spaces for several hundred years. Notice how the ordinary boxwood (Buxus cvs, zones 5 to 9) takes on new meaning and purpose when pruned into a sphere. If you're not a boxwood fan, consider the Japanese false cypress 'Curly Tops' (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Curly Tops', zones 4 to 8), 'Mr. Bowling Ball' arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Bobozam', zones 3 to 8), the dwarf globe blue spruce (Picea pungens 'Globosa', zones 2 to 8) or the 'Dragon Prince' Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica 'Dragon Prince', zones 5 to 9).
