Tres McKinney Design The curtain and headboard fabric is Elizabeth Eakins #EE354/00 "Nils", color natural. The curtains were lined in Roger Arlington #F13701 "Beaumont" color - cream/taupe. The lead edge cord trim is George Spencer Designs #802-03, color-Capri. The brush trim is George Spencer Designs "Ruche" #803-03, color-Capri. Lining the curtain with a small print, stripe or check adds a beautiful custom detail and in this case added interest as the back of the curtains are visible in the window alcove.
Tres McKinney Design The crown molding is Benjamin Moore "Navajo White" OC-95 in semi gloss finish, the ceiling is "Creamy White" OC-7 in a flat finish which is more of a light taupe color similar to the taupe stripe in the wall paper. a subtle shift in the ceiling color from the crown molding makes the crown molding pop and is less stark than a whit ceiling.
Tres McKinney Design It is a striped wallpaper by Christopher Norman. the pattern # is WP-5200-02 "Decatur Stripe", color-Alabaster. The stripes are a unifying element for the mix of floral fabrics and give the room a more tailored and polished look. I love using wall coverings whenever possible in my projects. Master bedrooms, studies and powder rooms especially benefit from using wall coverings but I have used them in every room of a house. Bold wall paper prints can especially lend impact to powder rooms if you are too timid to try in other rooms. Grass cloth adds warmth and texture and is a great back drop for art and books. It works equally well in traditional and contemporary schemes. To see more examples of how I have used wall coverings go to my website or look at my other images on Houzz.
Tres McKinney Design I custom designed the chair and ottoman and had it made by my upholsterer. The fabric is a Bennison fabric "Songbird", color- blue-yellow on oyster through De Souza Hughes Showroom in San Francisco, CA.
