I'm admiring the wood you used on the gate? What material is it? - Was the wood treated ?Can you give me as much detail on this wood. I really think it's perfect and lovely for my fencing project, »
Eron Johnson Antiques Hello, Thank you for complements on the gate. It is an old teak gate from India. The gate used to have great old blue paint that has weathered off and it is now a warm grey color. Teak is wonderful outdoors because of the natural oils in the wood. Teak is commonly used for outdoor furniture for that reason. Good luck with your fencing project. We would love to see a photo when you are done.
This charmingly weathered gate offers a glimpse at the sweet purple flowers that reside in the garden behind. The height of this structure adds an additional element of wonder, while the slotted design allows one to feel welcome and at ease.
