Occidental, CA contemporary-exterior

Occidental, CA

Conceived as a Family Compound for occasional gatherings this is the Main House. An open plan with lots of space for impromptu sleeping areas. Including 12' deep porches that nearly wrap the house - of which two are screened-in.

This is a two story structure. The lower floor holds two flexible rooms with a shared bathroom. One of the rooms has direct access to a screened porch. The bathroom was designed with an outdoor shower for the daring!

Prior to starting construction we visited many iterations of approach and relationships. Thinking that we would start with the Guest House, it soon became apparent that the Main House would be built first. Completed in 2004 followed by the garage in 2008 and the Master Suite in 2012. We now look forward to being considered for assisting on the design of the Guest House!
