Lynne Barton Bier - Home on the Range Interiors Hi Cindilu123, the builder, Gary Cogswell of Cogswell Construction here in Steamboat sourced these reclaimed beams and we used them in their original state, with the "crust" on. I believe the source he used for these was a person from the West Coast who is no longer in business however he often uses multiple sources to put together the quantity and sizes of beams he needs when doing a whole house. He has a new source in Canada but I do know that there are a number of different reclaimed companies doing business now and you might be able to find someone closer to your location by looking online.
