Barnett Design Studio i poured my slab. had #3 r-bar at 12" o.c. then scored the concrete in 4'x4' grid. we did and acid "stain". it really isn't a stain because it reacts with the concrete chemically.. grinded it down.(to expose aggregate) but i have forgotten the product we used to seal the floor! i think it was a wet seal normally used for wood. it has a nice "wet" glossy look to it like this floor. I have forgotten what it was unfortunately :(

If you already have concrete floors I believe its actually cheaper to do the sanding painting and staining.. its just eligant and beautiful. and the floors may be hard but their beautiful and easier to clean and also you could get an accessorie added to your floor.. like a nice rug.. why cover a beautiful character?
