Really like the coziness of this room. Love the rich color of the T&G ceiling and beams and of course the large stone fireplace. Not a big fan of the windows however

Love the feeling this room gives me. High ceilings with dimension, yet not too high for energy purposes. Large stone fireplace becomes the center piece for the room. Not a huge fan of the window layout however.

we could do this treatment to the North side of the house of the kitchen-prefer the fireplace on the Sotuh wall if we can--or keep as we have on the plan so long as it only blocks the view of kitchen. Either way want it double sided.

Curved arch truss. Simple in connection details to keep cost down and focus on the curve. Don't like how the truss seems asymmetrical with the landing on the stone. Like the stone and mantel. We will have one or two chandeliers in great room, nut sure of style yet, but not this style.
