The space was reconfigured into one large open plan, encompassing Living, Dining, Kitchen, Entertainment. Modern furnishings, a neutral palate with splashes of color throughout make the space feel calm and serene.

waveaddict You can control components anywhere in the house with a RF remote. Logitech harmony is highly rated, although there are cheaper versions out there. Use a stereo reciever with enough inputs for all of your components and run one hdmi cable to screen. Can't speak for controling video games remotely, but i'm sure its possible.

mkarasulu I love my fireplace. I chose this stone from a Japanese design site, and Andreas was able to locate it in DC. And all this happened why I was living away in Korea. How does it get better than this?
Can you tell me the height of the cabinets? - I am building a house with a center stone fireplace that will go to the top of a vaulted ceiling at 14' and will have lower cabinets on either side. How tall is the ceiling and the height of the cabinets in this room?
Thanks,

One of my favorite solutions for housing stereo equipment incognito is a small built-in cabinet to the side of a fireplace. Back in the day, these were used as wet bars or for additional storage, but as more people mount their flat screen TVs above the fireplace, these cabinets are being repurposed to discreetly house AV equipment, with the wires to the TV hidden behind the drywall.
