How did you finish off the opposite end? - I'm doing a similar design. I have 2 ends -- left side will end undercabinets go through window at sill just like this one and end on the right side at end under cabinets. I think I might use the pencil trim again and just run it from cabinet to granite counter top. Any suggestions? »
Neat Chic My other wall also ended at another window sill. In your case, I would do as you suggested. I would use the pencil trim to "close" the design neatly from cabinet to counter top.
Neat Chic This was bought from the Tile shop (www.tileshop.com) back in 2008. The mozaic banner is called "Glass Autumn Mix" (SKU#615574) and the square stone tiles are called "Cadiz Bone" (SKU#660590)
Wicki and Alex want to keep it simple and neutral, as they don't want the backsplash to compete with the countertops for attention. But they don't want it to be boring. An accent border is a great solution.
Another nice way to accent with a band of different tiles. If you have a strict tile budget, splurge on a band of Ann Sacks tile and buy the white background for the rest of the wall at a big box home store.
