kimber11 If you already own leather and don't want to opt for buying new, slip covers in a linen or cotton will do the trick. Or if you are planning to make a leather furniture purchase, stick to white or light beige...just remember you will 'stick' to it in the hot summer heat. Leather could belong in accessories if a must (picture frames, book covers, etc.) I suggest skipping the leather furniture idea.
Here is another nautical theme using a runner down the table. I love the way the decor items — all different in sizes, shape and texture — flow down the length of the runner. My eye goes up, down, then up again.
Instead of using traditional end tables for your sofa, add a different type of accent table, such as a small dresser. You get more storage out of it, too.
