bepsf You certainly could have them refinished - pretty much as you would any other piece of wood furniture - the work would, of course, have to be accomplished on site rather than sent out as you might a dresser or table.

naamiturk what type of wood is the top island made out of? how is it finished/varnished? what kind of maintenance does it require? what kind of heat can it tolerate? are there issues with durability?
