Furniture from Home That is an awesome fabric! We do a lot of prestigious interior design work directly with consumers and with agencies... often times the most time consuming work (and least rewarded from the client perspective) is the fabric selection. After you've selected the perfect fabric the next step is making sure your furniture upholsterer is savvy enough to correctly upholster the piece to maximize the look of the beautiful fabric you've selected. Picking out the right fabric can literally take hours... then you have to pick the pillows! :) Here is one example of a custom frame and fabric we recently created: . And you can see more here: http://furniturefromhome.com/category/livingroom/ornate. Our interior design firm is Travilion. Good luck!
Furniture from Home Ohh, and I forgot to mention... by the time you do select the perfect fabric often times the fabric is discontinued or short handed... so it's back to the drawing board! My point is have fun with fabric selection (or hire it out) and don't get too excited until you've got the rolls in hand!
This is a showstopper. The bold structure, along with the vibrant stripes, makes this sofa young and hip. And the deep wood finish helps the piece keep its traditional lines, allowing it to work in just about any room.
Striped modern fabric on a curvy, old-fashioned settee. This beauty would feel at home in a variety of settings: modern Mexico, eclectic bohemian, spare white or cozy bed-and-breakfast.
Multicolor. If you've inherited or purchased a traditional upholstered piece, consider having it recovered in a fun multicolored fabric. This Victorian settee looks fab and fresh with its striped fabric (and check out the mismatched pillows).
