This clever hiding place is actually an incredibly easy DIY. Sroka loves to read in the tub, so putting bookshelves in the alcove is a must. "I wanted to relive the library look of the bookcases, so I added the architectural prints to the center of each bookcase to add depth of feeling," he says. Since he already knew that he wanted to put a TV on the shelf (it had already been wired accordingly), Sroka decided to work with the placement of the photos to discretely hide the TV. Sroka did this part of the installation himself — he simply screwed hinges into the frame, then screwed the other halves into the bookcases.

A TV over the tub. To be honest, I am not sure anyone suggested this. I just saw the picture and thought it belonged on a list of the ultimate home options. While a good novel and a candle are all I need, I certainly can see the draw of watching a nightime soap while soaking in suds. OK, OK, I lied about the novel.
