Has anyone had issues with sound (steps, pets, etc.) when they pain the subfloor on a second story? - I am super excited that I get to put in the painted floor I've been wanting in our upstairs. I was going to just buy cheap oak flooring that I found and paint that, but I like the rustic look of painted subfloors that I've seen. My husband is worried about the sound of not having anything over the subfloor. Had anyone run into this? Thanks! »
One of the most striking features of the house is the floating staircase. It leads from the living room, located on the third floor, through the skylight in the ceiling and out to the rooftop terrace. It was originally added by the real estate company as a selling point and was created out of segments of the original staircase. The result is a uniquely functional feature that allows light to pour into the living room and enhances its size.
White, black, gray are all safe floor color options. But what about red? It's an electrifying jolt of color paired with white walls and offers the opportunity to create a consistent color story, complemented by red accessories in each room.See the rest of this house

Amazing red floor! Brings in colour without needing dark painted walls! Also probably a great idea when you have wood flooring that isn't the greatest.
