Knight Construction Design | Chanhassen, Minnesota It is a pot filler (water faucet used to fill pots). This comes in handy so you don't have to carry large pots of water across the kitchen from the main sink to the stove. Definately a splurge item. Thanks!
Range hood - Where can I find the range hood for this . I have been shopping at lowes and HD and the models they have all have the buttons on the front side , and wood on this cabinet seems like wood cover it. »
Knight Construction Design | Chanhassen, Minnesota This is a Vent-a-Hood Liner that you would have to purchase from an appliance store. You also have to know how many CFM's to accomodate for depending on what type of stove you have. It is very important that if you are working with a stove with high BTU's that you look at the manufacturer's recommendation for the hood CFM's.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Backsplash - Gorgeous kitchen! Can you please give me the specific color name and/or manufacturer of the travertine stone mosaic? I've been looking through countless photos looking for the right one for my remodel, and I think this is it. »
Knight Construction Design | Chanhassen, Minnesota It is made by Dura Supreme Cabinetry. They also have a profile on Houzz that you can look up. Thanks!
cooktop hood - I read somewhere that a cooktop hood should sit 24" above the cooktop, yet everywhere I look, the hoods seem to be 36 inches or so above the cooktop. Is there a standard for best function of the hood or not? »
Knight Construction Design | Chanhassen, Minnesota It also depends on the liner that is used, the hood cfm's and the btu's the cooktop or range gives off. I always go off the hood recommendations.
ladychieftain That makes sense. I'm going for a 36 inch wide cooktop and have read that the hood should extend 6 inches wider to either side of the cooktop, so therefore I'd need a 48" hood. They're awfully expensive, but when I find the right one I want to make sure I mount it so that it works most efficiently. I'll see what the manufacturer says about height.
I want a pot filler like this but my contractor said I can't because of it being on an outside wall and I live in Lower NY. I don't feel that is correct, any comments? »
Knight Construction Design | Chanhassen, Minnesota You can put this on an outside wall if you properly insulate around it with a spray foam. That is what we did in this case. Thanks!
