Our guest room/home office started as nothing but a big white box. I am in the process of redecorating this room using only items that I already own and inexpensive supplies from the craft store.
The desk started life as a small pine kitchen table. The ribbon border was applied by soaking the ribbon in liquid starch, placing it and allowing it to dry. It can be pulled off at any time.
Old frames, an embroidery hoop and a wooden letter were updated with spray paint. Scrapbook paper was used to create the art.
Houzz reader Karen dipped trim into fabric starch and applied it to a writing desk. How whimsical! The best part is that it peels right off when she wants a new look.
