This home office was designed to be fun and inspiring. The room is filled with DIY projects including recycled white end tables, recycled art work and bulletin board using a frame from MOMA and grass cloth wallpaper. The wall pattern was based on a gigantic pizza box I cut into a circle. See how it was done on my blog under DIY Ideas- www.loveyourroom.blogspot.com. The coffee table is a mid century modern antique, and the sofa and desk are from IKEA.

I love the modern look of white but I want with a hint of gray/cream in it. The wall color you used here is kind of what I'm looking for. Can you tell me what color you used for the walls? »
Annie Thornton This is a desk that comes in pieces from IKEA. You can purchase the legs and then any sized table top as well as any material table top. Here is a link to the legs that will link you to the table tops.
I've seen message boards lined with fabric but never wallpaper, let alone grasscloth! What a fabulous idea. This message board, placed above the desk among a collection of images, fits right in. The wallpaper brings beautiful texture to the vignette that works well with the zebra wood on the chair.
The overall scheme of this home office is neutral with just a few punches of color. It would be super easy to go all neutral or to completely change the color scheme.
This area is a great example of how to keep things neat but also bring in some beloved items. Most of them are contained on the wall, including a beautiful inspiration board that can be changed around daily.
If a bedroom workspace is a must, keep it beautiful and neat like this one. The white desk and cabinet, the lovely inspiration board and prints keep this area from feeling like an office.
Here is another example of mixing a range of images, children's and others, in a series of frames.
Tip: Consider hanging a framed message board alongside the art. It provides a space to pin up the latest creations, allowing for a simple way to update the collection.
If 00kate could get rid of the hutch above her desk, it would make a huge difference. (Perhaps your school has storage for spare furniture? It never hurts to ask.) The space is too small for that chunky a piece of furniture. Instead, fill the area above the desk with a cork board. Use it to keep track of your schedule and upcoming exams, and leave a little space for inspiration culled from magazines or elsewhere. You can also cover the cork with patterned fabric for even more interest.
Looking for an easy way to display artwork and notes but not feeling the typical bulletin board? Find an interesting frame (even an inexpensive one at a flea market) and frame a piece of grasscloth for a functional, colorful, texture-filled display!
Inspired. Gallery walls do inspire. You can start one above a desk/work area and center it around a framed memo board. The memo board becomes a constantly changing mini-gallery that fits in with the larger composition.
Line your board with grasscloth. This designer filled a frame with grasscloth wallpaper to serve as a sophisticated background for her favorite things.
