This home office was designed to be fun and inspiring. The room is filled with DIY projects including recycled white end tables, recycled art work and bulletin board using a frame from MOMA. The wall pattern was based on a gigantic pizza box I cut into a circle. See how it was done on my blog under DIY Ideas- www.loveyourroom.blogspot.com. The coffee table is a mid century modern antique, and the sofa and desk are from IKEA.

Can you tell me where you found such a large pizza box??? With millions of design/inspiration photos online, it is crazy that I would stumble across this familiar image!!!!! Miss you! »
Jennifer Mills We are still in Italy - roughly 18 months to go. It will be so hard to leave, but we are hoping to make our way back to PA when the time comes. I'm not working while we're here, but am still immersed in creative arts... Great work on here. So crazy that I would run into it so randomly!!!!!
Could you please tell me how the circles were made? It looks like the room was painted white then some how the circles were painted on the wall but how? I am looking for ideas for my 13 year old daughter that has the Shabby Chic bed ensemble. We have the teal duvet with large pink geranium like flowers. Looking for cool ideas thank you for your help. »
Shoshana Gosselin For the circles I created a circle stencil out of a very big pizza box. I have complete directions for this on my blog www.loveyourroom.blogspot.com. It is on the rte side menu under DIY Projects. ;)
What could be interpreted as a country couch and pillows gets a mod facelift through the loud wallpaper and surrounding details. With such a wall, which becomes in and of itself art, little else is required in the room. Keeping white as the main base helps keep the room from being too Warhol-ishly loud. (Don't mistake, I love Warhol...)
As you can see here, rose pillows can be set against almost any other background. Create wonderful patterns and make the whole room work with a solid color foundation like the white seen here.
Look at what you can create using just paint. This wall of patterned circles took me two days to create. Prep your wall with your background color. I used Sherwin Williams Egret White.
At times, college apartments come with basic furnishings, but houses generally do not. Check out IKEA for great couch finds. This two-seater sofa is perfect for a living room, or, if you have a little more space, try the Ektorp sofa.
One of my favorite DIY projects featured on Houzz is this simple yet boldly patterned wall. Much cheaper than wallpaper, these circles add visual dimension and liveliness, all thanks to a little paint and a cardboard pizza box!
Circular-patterned wallpaper adds instant style to a room but can be expensive and a pain to install. This DIY alternative cuts down on the cost of wallpaper without compromising style.
