Maraya Interior Design with a good tile setter, use the surface bullnose tile, and cut it into pieces. Your contractor has a good point though, if not done with great tile, or a great setter, the grout can come out. I do not like to spec it either, in this case, my client insisted- and this is a guest cottage, not one that is used all the time.
