An inset slate "carpet" provides visual interest to the all over slate floor, while being functional with the winter snows and beach sand during the summer months. Client's art collection adds bold color.

InterDesign Studio I always find it funny when other designers don't even give the project designer a chance to answer their own questions! Here is the real answer: We used Copper Slate. Honed Copper Slate and the inset is Natural Cleft Copper Slate.
