Ronique Gibson By French doors do you mean the freezer drawer is on the bottom vs. a full refrigerator on one half side, and the freezer on the other?
(I'm confused because French doors open just like side by side) :)
I think it depends on your family lifestyle and how you use your refrigerator. For families with kids that have problems reaching high into a freezer, I think the drawer is a great alternative.
While if you are a family that has a lot of freezer items, the lower drawer may not be enough. Depending on the model will dictate the volume each can hold. I think the pros and cons are dependent on each family.
I really like the floors!! Was wondering what was done to them? I have some carpet I was wanting to pull up and was hopeing to get to same effect. Any insight would be greatly appreciate on how to achieve and or proceed. Product info, instructions etc.

We have just installed the 42" Monogram hood over our island (induction) with a 81" extension. It seems that the hood is hanging over the floor by about 5", but it is centered. Should we remount it 5" toward the back because we think we'll hit our head on it. What height from your stove is the hood installed. »
Okay, check this out: Isn't that library that's cozied up into that little slanted area the coolest thing ever? I'm sure this is a magnet for conversation. And a great way to keep guests in the kitchen (if you want them there) while you are busy cooking.
