I am interested in learning more about the materials and techniques that were used to create the railings on this beautiful porch. Is there a manufacture that makes this cable and top rail? Thank you. »
Jay Flom Having seen hundreds of images of cable railing over the last couple of decades, I would tend to disagree. Initially, I would have thought it would mainly fit in with "contemporary" architecture, but seeing images like the Fredrick + Frederick residence and James Hill's architecture. where the cable almost becomes invisible, and the rest of the architecture remains predominant, and the view takes precedence, I can now see exciting possibilities through new eyes. "Cheap" it is not. Grade 316 stainless steel is meant to last and require little to no maintenance.
Stefan Hughes Depends what you get ,there are all types of railings and there IS more than one manufacturer. No matter what setting,in PERSON,of what i have seen the effect is industrial.
