ncdiy Call Lantern & Scroll (find them on here or Facebook or lanternandscroll.com) They can help you. I always use copper or bronze lights (more classic) but black or pewter would work well. Just send them a picture of your house and they can help. Cheers!

Dan Daugherty Consider some custom lights. Are they for walkways or Porch lights? When it comes to custom lights, there is no limit to what you can do. This is only one example of a custom light. This one can be used indoor or outdoor as long as it is in a covered patio. custom lights can be made to be weatherproof also.

TVCoverups The AV equipment, speakers, routers, DVD, and other consoles can be hidden inside the TVCoverUps! We addressed a similar situation and designed cabinets built inside the unit. The TVCoverUps essentially eliminates the need for an entertainment center or other furniture used to store these items. Attached below is an example of this.

Martha O'Hara Interiors Thank you for coming to us with your question! The layout in this photo creates a very cozy atmosphere in a room. When arranging furniture, we suggest allowing space for traffic flow so that the room does not feel too cluttered.

Although we do not have a floor plan or image of your space, from your description it sounds as though you have an opportunity to enhance the "sofa walls" with art, color or texture. We may suggest experimenting with the idea of applying wall texture using paint or creating pattern using bold wallpapers. Color blocking is not only a trend in fashion but also in interior design. Try an accent wall or collage several of your favorite pieces of framed artwork on one wall. Best of luck with your project!

Martha O'Hara Interiors Thank you for bringing up this point! It is advised to not keep a piano too close to a window or door that you open frequently due to possible humidity changes. Keeping the instrument out of direct sunlight is ideal. However, if you must place your piano near a window because of design or acoustic decisions, it is wise to invest in a few window treatments to keep the most direct light away and ensure the lifetime of your instrument. Martha O'Hara Interiors We think of this as today's traditional - a bit more monochromatic and with cleaner lines that you might have seen even a decade ago. You're right about a modern splash, too.

You're not alone in worrying about using grays in your home! Gray and silver tones have become popular alternatives to other neutrals, but many people don't know how to incorporate them into their homes. Many are concerned that they will inadvertently create an austere interior. In fact, when used correctly, cool tones can be inviting and comfortable, and there are gray/silver palette that are quite warm.
