tatzop Do you have a storm door? I have the same door shape and have had a hard time finding a storm door.

The Impatient Gardener Not really. We have a screen door and there were some plexiglass panels that fit over the screens to sort of turn it into a storm door but it was a pretty hinky system so we've never used it. I think a storm door would have to be a custom thing for a door that shape.

This, this, this. A uniquely blue door arguably at its best in the snowy mist. Here the garland is also hung deliberately yet freely, added to by a plentiful wreath. We wondered where to place our traditional ribbon, and this photo shows a wonderful example: one at the peak of the garland over the door, and an accompanying one at the base (head words too) of the wreath. Wonderful balance.

I was tongue-in-cheek about bright blue doors (which can, for the record, look terrible), but this door couldn't be a more charming finish to the front of this house--sticking to stark simplicity in the surrounding details.
