copper sink and stainless appliances? - How can I use both in my small kitchen 16X14. I am worried that the two will "clash". I found a dark copper apron sink that I love. I am still in the planning stage. Thank you »
reneepapa Thanks so much Sue. I wish I'd learned this sooner! It took so long to achieve the right color, but in the end we did. We bleached and stained our boards which had been roughed up a bit. Sounds like you have a great plan there. Glad it worked out for you. Thanks!
Texas Lightsmith At Texas Lightsmith, we seal the apron of the sink to preserve the chosen finish. The basin is finished to color, and left unsealed for a living finish due to the high traffic a kitchen sink goes through a sealant would not last very long. One of the greatest advantages of a living finish basin is the antimicrobial properties of the metal, more info about living finish sinks: http://www.texaslightsmith.com/www/faq.php#faq13
What is the angle degree for this bayed counter..??.. - I would like to use this design approach but it's been suggested that it's a bad design because of the access to the dishwasher. It seems to me that if enough room is left on either side of the sink - like what you did here with the drawers -- then access to the dishwasher door when open to load dishes while standing at the sink shouldn't be a problem. »
