With board-formed concrete, concrete is poured into forms and left to cure, then the forms are removed. The invention of plywood made large forms more affordable, though the original forms were made with timbers or wood planks. The attractive wood grain and seepage between planks of board-formed concrete structures have made them increasingly popular.
