Michael Robert Construction thank you! this is several coats of magnetic primer, followed by chalkboard paint. We love having it there and are looking forward to doing a whole wall soon for the kids!

The water-based poly lightens and accentuates the wood, instead of giving it a yellow, red, or golden hue like oil-based poly does.
