This bright, white, classic “Nantucket” style kitchen was part of the home's 1200 square foot expansion. Built around the needs of a chef and their family, this is a cook’s kitchen built for entertaining. The workspace and flow makes the kitchen as much of a joy to work in as it is to relax with friends in. The bright white cabinets and the cool grey island are complemented by the sea of white marble countertops. The extra deep stainless sink and commercial-style faucet lend an industrial feel to the kitchen, but the built-in banquette and custom window create a cozy, family-friendly feel.
The oversized 9' island is a central gathering space in this home.

Bookshelf dimensions - How deep are the little bookshelves on each end? Also, is there anything between the back of the cabinets and the panel under the counter? Looks like the bookshelves are wider than the area where the stools are. »
Michael Robert Construction Thank you, Interiors International! James, the bookshelves are 9" deep. The area where the stools are is approx. 20". There is a 2x4 wall between the cabinets and the panel. That's where the plumbing is run, and it makes the whole island a more sturdy structure.
Refrigerator - What brand refrigerator and is it built in? Do you mind doing without an ice dispenser? We love having one but they're not very clean looking or attractive! »
These are frameless cabinets that have been customized with trim between to give the look of an inset cabinet. This is a much more cost effective way to get a high end, furniture feel.
nearly exact layout.. "These are frameless cabinets that have been customized with trim between to give the look of an inset cabinet. This is a much more cost effective way to get a high end, furniture feel."
