Bruckstein gave all of the bathrooms a full remodel, and each one is distinct. This bathroom was created for the basement and is adjacent to the playroom, so bright yellow was the way to go. Placing the yellow tiles in a vertical pattern gives the room a unique energy. The mix of tile materials are tied together via her play with rectilinear shapes and scales.
I'd call this tile more of a golden curry yellow. The sophisticated shade works well with the dark wood mirror and vanity. The color is also referenced in the stripe of small mosaic yellow tiles on the wall.
In every culture, yellow equals the warmth and appearance of the sun. This color brings radiance to a space and make a dark room feel brighter. For most people, yellow is cheerful and upbeat and reminds us to hope, but it is also the color of mourning in countries such as Egypt and Burma.
6. Tile and tub resurfacing. Although this is an affordable alternative to ripping out and replacing dated tile or an old bathtub, don't be tempted to save even more by trying it yourself. From the chemicals used to strip off the old finish to the delicate technique of applying a new one, it's a specialized job that calls for specialized help.

fantastic tile work. gives a relaxing, water-like feel, without even turning the faucet on. the use of yellow makes me feel energized. I feel healthy and rejuvenated just looking at this.
Master bathroom. Love the splash of color and contrast betweej the verticle and horizontal lay of the tile and the small mosaic squares. This is a lot of different tile that really works well together.
