CAVINESS LANDSCAPE DESIGN, INC. This stone is only available from quarries in southeastern Oklahoma. We hand-cut this stone to match the layout of the travertine inside the home. Thanks for the inquiry!

Natural Stone While natural stone is a very luxurious choice for patios, you can cut costs by choosing stone from a local quarry. The native Oklahoma flagstone here was hand cut to match the travertine in the home. This is labor intensive and adds to the total cost, but the result is magnificent.Stone can be installed various ways, depending on the soil conditions. If the existing soil is clay based, it would be wise to lay stone on a 4-inch concrete slab with steel reenforcement for a sturdy base.Stone color can vary dramatically, since it's a natural product. Samples can give you an idea of what it will be like, but know that there will be color variations.

You can have a system professionally installed by an authorized dealer, but DIYers can easily find the systems online and install one themselves.I have the drum system in my Oklahoma backyard. Right now it is set up on a timing system and has a remote control. We set up the spray nozzles around the eaves of the house, our outdoor living areas and the pool — sort of like a sprinkler system. While it might sound a little weird, these things do work. My family can always tell when the misting tank is empty, because the mosquitos show up and make us miserable.
