Cathy Schwabe Architecture Hi-
The owner selected the colors - let me see if I can find out. The paint was Benjamin Moore.
I'll follow up when I can.
Thanks,
Cathy
Cathy Schwabe Architecture Hi-
The room is 15 feet wide and 14'-6" deep. In this view you are only seeing about 11'-6" of the depth and about 12 feet of the width. Width direction is in the long direction of the desk. The low point is 7' - 1" and the high point is about 11'-10". (slope is 4:12) The desk is almost 3 feet deep, front to back, so the ceiling has gotten to be 7'-10" feet above the floor at the edge of the desk - and except for at the knee space where you can clearly stand right up against the desk -- at the drawer areas and or standing in front of the bookcases the ceiling at the low point is closer to 8 feet.
It is a really comfortable room -- nice size and a good scale.
Thanks,
Cathy
Cathy Schwabe Architecture Hi -
The desk is +/- 13'-0" long. The bookcases ( shown only on the one side) on both sides add another 2' - 0" total to the room width but at the desk the walls were furred in. If you look closely at the photo you can see this. Then -- yes the desk was designed as part of the project and build by the cabinet maker.

Nice panel design rug (an Indian reproduction of a Persian Bactiary "Chahar Mahal" design with a much toned-down palette) anchors this bright office and holds it together visually. Appreciate too that the one way (asymmetrical) design is not in any way upsetting to the sense of balance in the room. Nice job all around.
Love to have windows to look out at. If you had to take a break, you only have to look out .....maybe a yard, but if you are lucky, you have a lake or an ocean view.

love the built in desk facing the window and the unlimited shelving along the entire wall. Matt's got plenty of computer books. and some outlets in there in a couple places.
