Kenny Craft, CNU LEED AP Based on the width of the house (18'-0"), and the pitch of the roof (12:12), the space above the second story really isn't large enough to be habitable space. However, "attic" trusses were used, so there is at least a fair amount of functional attic storage space. Thanks, Kenny
Kenny Craft, CNU LEED AP The windows are Jeld-wen Ex-siteline series (formally Norco). They are alluminum clad wood windows with Simulated Divided lites. One important point to note, is that the frame color is different than the sash color. Frame color is coordinated with the trim/casing color so that sash is distinct. Also, and important point to note, the window is recessed approx. 1", so the casing/trim overlaps the otherwise projecting window frame... The railings are not any particular "system", but just "stick built", 1x4 cap, double 1x4 upper rails sandwiching 2x2's at 4" o.c. w/ a 2x6 bottom rail (could use 2x8 or 2x10) - In this case, the bottom rail is cut w/ a sloping point at the top, and the pickets have an inverse point, so they notch onto the bottom rail. Hope that helps... - Kenny
babettedesign Kenny,
Your house is so sweet. I'm not sure how where the PDF would be. Thanks so much for responding. Can you tell me how many square feet this is. Do you have a website?
Barbara
Kenny Craft, CNU LEED AP Looks like the PDF didn't work... I'm attaching two jpg images of the plans. The house is 18' wide by 32' deep, 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. 1,152 s.f. My webpage is www.craftdesign-studio.com Thanks, Kenny
Hi Kenny-
What color paints are used on the green and white house? I see there are three colors- a green, a white and a dark blue inside of the windows. We have a 104 year old victorian home that we completely re-did and we are about to start painting the outside. From the start, I knew I wanted a green home but its hard when you are dealing with that much space and picking the right shade of green.
Thank you
