Under-cabinet lighting:
The ones over the range are part of the vent hood, I believe the are a halogen bulb, I believe it is a Vent a Hood brand.
the under cabinet lights are Kichler Xenon bulbs, these bulbs give a nice light and do not get as hot as halogen

We put in LED under-cabinet lights in our current kitchen for the energy savings. I don't think the color temperature is perfect, though. I want to use LEDs as much as possible in the house, but we'll need help choosing the right lamps.
