Studio Marler Hi. This is a custom vanity through our company, Studio Marler. If you would like to give me the dimensions you are looking for in your bathroom, I'd be happy to give you a quote.
Studio Marler El Cerrito is accounting only. The Mill Valley showroom is open Wednesday - Saturday 11 - 6. If you would like me to meet you, please let me know what time you will be there.
rbcola I like the look of this toilet....but I need height and size to accomodate husband's comfort. Is it on the taller side? and I know it's longer....but s it wider?
I like the contrast between the white counter top and dark cabinetry. - What type of counter top material was used? If sinks are undermount, what brand was used? »
Studio Marler There are many woods that would work with this vanity style, we've made some in walnut that are beautiful, and a rift white oak that was amazing as well.
what is the minimum distance off the floor to design a vanity so that it looks like it's floating? - Want to have floating cabinet made but can only sacrifice 7" from bottom of vanity to floor. Is that enough or will it not look right? »
gimnasia Thanks Steve, wish you were in Miami where I'm remodeling two bathroom. If I may, could I ask you which type of wood (mahogany, maple, teal, walnut etc, etc) would you consider is the most appropiate to make a contemporary vanity with an espresso, no black, color. Thanks
BeautifulRemodel.com Hi gimnasia, thank you! I do appreciate it.
I prefer clear alder because it has a very subtle grain so looks very uniform when stained. Maple I've found is best in lighter colors because of its tendency to be blotchy in some circumstances. If you'd prefer to see more grain, then teak, walnut, cherry or mahogany would be good choices. (Teak and mahogany are very similar and more tightly grained, walnut & cherry have larger grain patterns)
Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. Same as installing on a wall, except that holes need to be drilled through the mirror - the mirror installer can do this for you. A little web search wrote it up faster than I could...

We did this look in our master bathroom and I wish that we had done it in all the bathrooms - a vanity to ceiling mirror looks really spiffy!
another example of the light fixture mounted directly to the mirror but this vanity has a backsplash, then the mirror begins above that and runs up to the ceiling. More practical perhaps, especially for the kids baths?
