Becky Harris Hi Rhonda! I spent a semester in Venice, so this was one of the things that yes, I actually had tagged. I only wish I could figure out where the rest of the furnishings are from, they are all incredible :)
I think if you click on my name you can get into my user profile and search the IBs (?), though I think mine are in reverse order b/c otherwise, since I have almost 900, I can't find the ones I'm currently working on to save my life. The technical aspect is not my forte!

This dining room caused a bit of controversy between the Victorian fans and the Contemporary fans! Personally, I love that the room has a base of original Victorian details, a traditional Venetian Fortuny pendant, and a very contemporary and sculptural table. It's "Massachusetts, meet Italy; Italy, this is Massachusetts! Have a great time getting to know each other!"

This effect is subtle, but is a wonderful melding of modern design and natural aesthetic. First, notice that the table leads your eye directly to the light-filled window. Outside the window is a beautiful scene of greenery. Reflected inside on the shiny tabletop, the greenery seems to fill the space from two angles. Also notice the table legs, small pieces intertwined to create a stable base. Are they not reflective of the masses of branches that constitute a forest?
