John Kraemer & Sons I believe these were poplar cabinets. Yes, you can absolutely do faux painting on oak and get the same affect. The best outcome is typically with a paint grade cabinet like poplar.
Is that paint and glaze on the cabinets? I want to do the same to my kitchen. Please tell me how it was done and the colors used. Thanks for taking the time to help me. »
It is all paint, beautifully done by a group of Minneapolis faux painters. As for the colors used, I'm not sure. If you show this picture to a faux painter, I am certain they can help you achieve this same look. Thanks, and good luck!
Don't like the style of this kitchen at all, but the shape of the bar might be good. Not sure it looks traditional enough, but it is nice that people can see each other. We are having a hard time finding a photo of the perfect island/bar combo.
SHAPE.
This kitchen uses shape well but it's not the best representation of using every shape. This kitchen uses the following shapes: squares, rectangles, half circles and an irregular octagon. The irragular octagon is the island/bar that has the sink attached to it. They should've used more circluar shapes in this interior instead of using mostly squares and rectangles.
