DAVID JAMES DIEBEL A R C H I T E C T Again, I'd estimate the widest part of column is probably about 12" - notice there is a taper to the columns (known as "entasis" in classical architecture).

Note: I am making estimates by comparing columns proportionally with other elements, such as windows/doors beyond, railings and posts above, etc.

Very well done. Like the covered patio, then the open patio, so you have both! If we move one run of our leaching field closest to our house, we could have a small covered patio outside the dining room. The covered walkway from garage and driveway could connect it.
