Judy Hi Jo, Sure Fit was the first brand I tried and they sure did fit! The only problem with them is they don't offer white or off-white. I like your idea of sewing a border on the bottom though - I also toyed with the idea of cutting off my original skirt so the new skirt would drape better.

Jo White Home & Garden/Blairsvillager.com Probably best to leave the existing skirt as is -- it will give you an alternate look when you're in the mood for a change, or if you decide down the road to replace the chairs altogether, they can be adopted into a new home as-is. Have fun!
