The easiest way to irrigate this Elfin Thyme groundcover is with pop up, overhead spray, set to come on early in the a.m. so that the patio dries before anyone gets up. You would have to cover your furniture and firepit to take this irrigation route. Another method I have used, which is expensive and labor intensive at first, is to use Netafim, an in-line drip emitter that you weave between the flagstones before backfilling the spaces and planting your groundcover. It waters underground so you don't see it and the stones stay dry. Google Netafim and you will see this product. Happy gardening!
