Speaking of shared language, the last two houses use dramatic cantilevers (roofs and/or floors) to provide shade and create usable outdoor space. The rear of the Canyon Edge House by Hurt Partners Architects features a large overhang that shades the expansive glass wall below. The deck below projects towards the house's namesake.
