Eastern White Pine

Eastern White Pine is characterized by its simple grains, subtle knots and wonderful durability. Because of its growth in colder climates, the wood has a much tighter grain than many species, and produces a vertical-growth and dense heartwood pattern. This wood is traditionally known for its warmth and character. Whether you choose to stain this beautiful wood or leave it natural, Eastern White Pine will perfectly match your design needs; it is equally as stunning in a rustic and antique decor as it is in a clean and modern style.

Pictured is an example of how we hand craft our wood to match our customers' specifications. One customer, who was building a new home in Tyler, TX wanted a responsibly harvested,"Green" product with an old world look. He e-mailed photos of a Tuscan Style interior he wanted to duplicate. We suggested this Old Growth Eastern White Pine due to its incredible versatility. The beams required a hand-hewn appearance, so we took the beams, and using good old-fashioned elbow grease, hewed the surfaces and edges for him. The customer applied a "Tuscan" finish to the beams before they were installed. These are the photographs he sent us of the finished project. BEAUTIFUL!!!
