In fact, the entire wall area around the master shower is painted MDF and runs floor to ceiling and has the same finish as the door. For symmetry, dSPACE designed another door to the right of the shower for a small laundry closet in this master bathroom. Having a small laundry closet in a master bathroom is very convenient when you are 3 floors above the main laundry room of this house! dSPACE Studio Ltd Hi, great question. We made sure that the shower glass door is dual swinging. When you are done showering, you just keep the door open to let the shower air out. The door can swing into the shower so it remains out of the way. Yes, the shower floor is sloped toward the linear drain under the shower bench. We always try to locate the shower drains so they are not in a place where you stand. The linear drain has more capacity to drain than a typical drain. Our shower is 4' wide, glass to wall. The only measurement I didn't find here was the length (from glass to opposite wall) of the bench. Got the 16" width.
Do you think 16" x 48" for the stone slab is workable?
The contractor had mentioned using the "Better Bench" stainless frame, but it requires wall mounting on 3 sides, therefore not as clean a look as this.

If you use natural stone in a steam shower, be sure and have your plumbing supplier up size the steam unit to accommodate the more porous tile.
