We created this perfect space right out side our kitchen on the side of the house leading to the backyard... Previously a spot where we kept the recycle bins, it's now a lovely spot for relaxing! Photo credit to my husband who did most of the "laboring". Enjoy!

The Black Stones - What are the black stones called? Thanks »
Emily Hurley Hi there! The designer says: "So sorry for the delayed reply. They are Mexican Beach pebbles and I think we got the med. size stones for that area."
Bamboo - What type of Bamboo is used and how do you managed to keep the lower part of the bamboo from being over grown looking?
Also, are these the running kind or the clumping kind. »
Very similar to a space I want to work on. Contains many design elements I want to incorporate. I have the same wall to the right of picture and have already planted gracilias bamboo on the left. This could be achieved with minimal labour and cost. Very well done, thx for sharing, really nice. The path design is so original and clever.

Brick walkway. LOVE the rock/pebble "garden" and the lights/torches, and even the bamboo (though I'd be scared to actually plant bamboo - though we could probably make it work in a pot or box).
