1. Found art. There is no rule that says that art has to be purchased. Magazine tear sheets take on a whole new life when they're collaged. Or carefully trim pictures from old calendars - instant art.

A large inspiration/message board placed alongside a dining room table not only adds visual interest with its color and pattern, but what a great conversation piece. I can just image joining a dinner party at this table and quizzing the owners about the bits and pieces pinned to the board. Also note the light fixture attached to the board, extending over the table...very cool.

Painting the wall to provide a solid background for an inspiration wall is inspired. I love the multiple uses of the dining table. Half workspace, half table is functional and attractive for a small family or couple.
