North Star Stone Looks like a river rock veneer. It's a great choice- lower cost and lower weight than real stone. Here's some of the stone styles- http://www.northstarstone.biz/stone-styles.htm

Just another thought as you draw... not the shingle part, but more the idea of the arch being in the foreground and the flat fascia set back accepts the house numbers (even the little downlight is so well placed!). We may not have the height for this, just a nice detail to consider.
