Molly Lovell While the bedroom is not my style, I can appreciate what you have done with it. If the customer likes it, that's all that matters. Good job. I like the fact that you listened to your client.
Pekcan painted the entire master bedroom — including the floors — in a bright white, inspired by a hotel room the couple stayed in during a trip to New York. The duvet is a hand-me-down from the wife's grandmother. Pekcan placed a sturdy lining underneath the delicate fabric to make it more practical. The painting above the bed is an original from the Russian painter Tatyana Nazarenko. The only time she visited Turkey was in 1987, when she painted this painting for the client. Bed frame: Moda Bagno
A crisp, all-white room isn't exactly cozy, but it is calming. There's no distracting clutter allowed in a room like this, because everything that isn't white pops into focus. I love the contrast of this traditional painting with the modern white walls.
In ancient Rome the priestesses of the goddess Vesta wore white as a symbol of purity, loyalty and chastity. The Christian church adopted this symbolism — even today traditional brides in many countries wear white. This gorgeous lace bedspread screams femininity, but the room still manages to balance traditional and modern, male and female, light and dark — so clever!

Dress up the window with sheer from floor to ceiling. Large painting on bedroom wall across from the bed so you lie in bed and look at it. All white walls, carpet and fabric is calming and accents art as well as creates a sense of a larger space.

How the b/w photos just pop on the white background. Don't like the painting over the bed though, seems like it would make me toss and turn. Not peaceful.
