Ben Herzog Sorry for the late response. I don't know any sources in that area.
We used to use AA Abingdon in this (NYC) area but I think they have closed down. You could try Shanker Industries on the web:
http://www.shanko.com/ I have not done any business with them and I am not sure what the shipping rates will be to TX. Good luck!
Ben Herzog Hi- It is 17'-1" wall to wall- from the wall above the pantry / bookshelves to the wall (not in the picture) behind the range. It is closer to 16'-6" from the fireplace to the wall behind the range. Good luck with the kitchen!
Ben Herzog Hi- the cabinets, I believe, are Benjamin Moore, OC-85 (Mayonnaise). The walls may be Farrow and Ball 203 (Tallow). I'm not sure as there were a lot of rapid-fire last minute changes on some paint colors and they were all selected by the owners, I hope this helps...
Ben Herzog I think I may have been in error 17 minutes ago- the walls may be the Mayonnaise color and we may have gone to good old Decorator's White with the cabinets. Confirm you like what you see when you get a sample!
Ben Herzog Hi- those are natural bricks but some of them were there and some of them were from other places which gives the color variation. No paints were used on them.
terriebracke Thanks , I think I'm going to try and dab colors on still and brighten the dark brown grout to enhance it. I love the variations in that. Great job on the whole kitchen!
Although many of the original details of the house were toned down, some of the existing work was left in the kitchen and the living room. The brick on this wall in the kitchen and dining room is from the home's original chimney. However, it needed a lot of work, so some old brick was patched in. The molded ceiling is actually made out of tin, and is also from the original structure. Table: Antique, Twin Fires BarnChairs: Antique, found at Harwinton Antiques FairPendant: Flos Romeo Moon S2
5. A fireplace. Nothing makes a kitchen feel cozier than a fireplace, and in old farmhouse kitchens, the hearth formed a central gathering spot. Even if you can't install a working fireplace in your space, you can approximate the look by bricking in a section of the wall or mounting a mantelpiece and surround for decorative displays.
