Pewter was first used around the beginning of the Bronze Age in the Near East. The earliest piece of pewter found is from an Egyptian tomb from 1450 BC.
In the corner of the dining room are more of Peggy's blue-and-white dishes from England and furniture that has been in her family for a long time. Included is a pewter tea set, which is Peggy's favorite piece to drink from.
