This master bathroom was totally remodeled from the 1980's.
An unused outdoor balcony space was used to create a spa shower. New clerestory windows were added to bring in light and the blue of the sky.
The dark wood cabinets contrast with the soft light cream limestone flooring, walls and countertops. A cool blue and green color scheme reflects the coastal beach community of this home in Solana Beach, California.
A custom spa bench was designed and created outside the tub. Modern lighting was applied to the vanity mirror to create a sleek contemporary feel.

I have a large mirror over our sink and vanity. How was the light above the sink put on the mirror? »
Linda Medina Interior Design This application can only be used with a new mirror; not an existing. First the electrical for the lighting sconce was located in the framing and drywall; based on the sconces specifications. Then a new mirror was fabricated with openings/ holes for the sconce to be mounted on the wall with the mirror sandwiched between the wall and sconce- it is a coordination of designer, glass fabricator, contractor and electrician here. Hope this helps!
Hi I have a very small bathroom,I want to hang a cupboard against the wall above the bath, so 2m away from the bath,Will the steam of the bath damage the wood or can u recommend a type of wood I can use,I want to use the cupboard for packing my towels and extra toiletries,

safbham my question would be why towels or anything you would need to use frequently? It will be difficult to access and you would risk injury.
why not replace the piece at the foot of the tub with a mini cabinet that could hold extras? You need to show more of the room too...it is impossible to make suggestions without seeing it.
Linda Medina Interior Design Hello, If the wall is over just a tub there should not be an issue with the moisture there. However of course you could not have wood shelves if this is a shower area also!
